Subject matter expert preparation (for potential testimony) for sediment transport fates and impacts for offshore wind farm cable burial operations analysis (analysis and expert witness testimony).
Provided subject matter expertise and preparation and presentation of testimony for sediment transport fates and impacts for the South Fork offshore wind farm export cable burial operations analysis.
In early 2011 medical waste was found to have washed ashore in multiple locations along the southwest coast of Oahu. As a result the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) and the Justice Department of the State of Hawaii sued Waste Management of Hawaii (WMH) for illegal release of materials from their medical waste dumpsite. In support of the legal effort a timeline assessment, environmental data analysis, a tracking analysis and environmental modelling was provided to the USDOJ and HDOJ to assess the potential culpability of WMH. It was determined that the WMH landfill was a likely source of material. Project management, analysis and expert witness testimony was prepared for the federal and state justice departments. The case was settled based on materials, analyses and other evidence presented.
